Sofia Mah

M.A

Sofia Mah (she/her) holds a B.A. Honours in Psychology with a Minor in Neuroscience and Mental Health, and an M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Carleton University.

Her research has explored how extended-self conversations influence young children’s saving performance. She has also investigated caregiver perceptions of acceptability of an online intervention for autistic children. Additionally, she has co-led focus groups on mindfulness and nature connection for a youth-led climate resilience campaign.

She has worked closely with children and adolescents in a variety of roles including as a developmental researcher, tutor, and culinary instructor. She enjoys helping individuals grow academically and build important life skills while fostering resilience and emotional well-being.

At Child in Mind, Sofia is eager to support the team and learn new skills in her Psychologist Assistant and Reading Intervention Specialist roles as she continues to grow in her psychology career.
