Calm Connections

This group is designed to help children better understand their feelings and learn how to manage stress and anxiety in a supportive, engaging environment. Through interactive lessons, creative activities, and guided discussions, children will explore common worry patterns, learn how their thoughts can affect their feelings, and begin to challenge unhelpful thinking in a way that makes sense to them.

A strong focus of the group is on building self-regulation skills—helping children recognize when they are feeling overwhelmed and giving them practical tools to calm their bodies and minds. This might include strategies like breathing techniques, movement breaks, and other coping tools they can use both in the moment and in everyday life.

Children will also build a personalized “toolbox” of coping strategies they can rely on when facing challenges. Throughout the group, we focus on building emotional awareness, resilience, and confidence, while creating a space where children feel safe, supported, and understood.
